An announcer is essentially a company spokesperson. They can speak in a manner that conveys news such as ”At XYZ company we take pride in our record of service… “ or as more of a personal company representative such as “We know you’re what you are looking for and can be there when you need us ”An announcer’s job is to convey the content to the listener in a clear and concise way. A good announcer is concerned with the product or service, rather than his or her own performance.

A narrator is, within any story (literary work, movie, play, verbal account, etc.), the person that conveys the story to the audience. When the narrator is also a character within the story, he or she is sometimes known as the viewpoint character. I audio and Video production the Narrator is your tour guide through a specific learning process story or sequence of events. He or she should be warm with a tone that is easy to listen to, informative friendly and trustworthy.

A character is an imaginary person represented in a work of fiction (play or film or story . Some productions that are done in story form for effect will require a cast of characters or just a single one. This is an effective way of conveying information as the listener should be able to identify with the character(s) and gain understanding through their experiences.

Talent of which we have had a working relationship for 10 years or greater is considered "MarketHOLD Gold Rated Talent."

Recording at MarketHOLD studios allows for the highest level of control in your production. However, in order to provide a great diversity of voices, our talent base is national -- Meaning that some talent may have to be recorded remotely.

Tags are adjectives which describe specific characteristics of a talent's voice.

Enabling tags allows you to find a voice which contains very specific characteristics. For example, selecting "energetic" and "expressive" will only display talent which is both energetic and expressive. This can be helpful if you know exactly what you are looking for, however, keep in mind that your search results will rapidly diminish. Oftentimes, you may have the best luck selecting only 1 or 2 tags at a time.
